Between Zoom calls, commuting, BART rides, and burnout, therapy should feel like a pause, not a performance.

You don’t have to figure it out alone.

You can come in person, log on, or switch week to week. This is therapy that works for you.

You’ve read the self-help books. Journaled. Meditated.

You're here because you're tired of being stuck in familiar patterns that hold you back, hide your light, and rob you of opportunities to live a life you've designed on your own terms. You want the tools to help make changes in key areas of your life.

The problem is that old, unhelpful patterns of behavior tend to dig in deeper when we try to heal from the things that have been holding us back from obtaining confidence, healthy relationships, career advancement, and a sense of ownership in our life. It's almost enough to make us want to revert back to our familiar and frustrating way of doing things. Almost.

It's time to claim your life back. I am here to help you challenge unhelpful perceptions, misconceptions, well-meaning bad advice, deceptive intentions, and other unhelpful tools that have been used to write your story for you.

Therapy isn’t about fixing who you are, it’s about moving through the day without carrying so much suffering.

I offer Online therapy in California or in person therapy in Oakland, CA.
Evidence-based, trauma-informed, and rooted in real care. Here’s how I can help-

  • Break free from patterns of chronic worry, self-doubt, and overwhelm. I offer evidenced-based and human centered interventions to help you manage anxiety, panic and OCD effectively.

Whether you're facing social anxiety, panic, or perfectionism, together we’ll develop skills to restore calm, focus, and confidence in your daily life and professional goals.

  • You may also be looking for support for adjusting to major life changes. Things that happen in our families, relationships, friendships, and careers can leave us shattered, shaken, and questioning our sense of identity.

You may be wondering if it's time to be the one to initiate a major change in your own life. However, making a change often requires us to do the deep work for overcoming imposter syndrome, the habit of being swayed by the opinions of others, and the fear of being alone in a new situation.

  • For many of us, nothing feels scarier than living with depression. Working through what happened to you with a trusted professional can help you rediscover the joy and finding motivation to follow through with taking action.

Making changes often requires us to overcome that inner critic that tells us we're not good enough. I work with depression and mood conditions to help you uncover the root cause behind negative feelings and move forward in life.

  • Weather it’s family, friends, a spouse, partner or boss strengthen your relationships with a focus on effective communication, trust-building, and safe emotional vulnerability.

I work with people navigating stress, conflict, or disconnection, using integrative approaches.

  • Empower your healing from past trauma through evidence-based interventions. I specialize in working with adults and teens navigating the effects of relational, intergenerational, social, and complex trauma.

Using trauma narrative therapy, trauma-informed CBT and mindfulness, we will address symptoms such as guilt, shame, self blame, and avoidance, while fostering self-compassion and resilience.

FAQs

  • I specialize in anxiety (including OCD, panic, health anxiety, and perfectionism), trauma (including relational and complex trauma), and mood disorders such as depression. I also support clients through life transitions, burnout, self-doubt, and boundary-setting. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and science-backed.

  • Our free 15-minute phone consultation is a chance for us to briefly connect, discuss what you're looking for, and see if we're a good fit. You’re welcome to ask questions, and I’ll share more about my approach. If it feels right, we’ll schedule an intake session to begin our work together.

  • We’ll talk about what’s been going on, whether it’s stress at work, family dynamics, or how you’ve been feeling about yourself. I may ask a bit about your past to get context. It’s normal to feel nervous. The more open you are, the better I can support you.
Toward the end, we’ll talk about what you’re hoping to get out of therapy and start shaping a plan together.

  • My office is located 5297 College Avenue, in the beautiful Rockridge area in Oakland, CA. I am close to Bart, bus, and there is free neighborhood parking available. In person clients will also have access to all online features including a secure client portal. You can also have both in person and online appointments.

  • I use a secure online platform for therapy. Clients can have telehealth appointments as long as they are located somewhere in California at the time of the appointment. About half of my clients live throughout California, including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and beyond.
