How I Work
With Depression
Depression can feel like you're always dragging something around with you that makes it difficult to get out of bed, feel good about yourself, or fully enjoy life.
Many people with depression are "functional" because of responsibilities and obligations, but there is a constant feeling of being drained and an inability to reach the level of joy of those around them.
The good news is that depression is very treatable. My work will focus on helping you find new ways to live a more joyful and connected life.
Approach to Healing
Depression often leads to social isolation, leaving you feeling guilty and lonely. In our work together, we'll examine the mechanisms keeping you isolated and use CBT, Mindfulness, and somatic interventions to slowly help you get more socially connected. We'll identify the triggers and develop new ways of thinking and behaving that can help you break the cycle of depression.
My core approach is rooted in third-wave cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which focuses on examining the underlying core beliefs that have shaped how you experience yourself and the world.
Moving forward
After our work together, you will feel more motivated and capable of reconnecting with the people and passions that matter most. You'll have the tools to live in a way that feels authentic to you, to set boundaries, and to find a deeper sense of joy and connection in your life.
