Support for Adult ADHD
Living with adult ADHD can make you feel misunderstood in everyday interactions, which can cause social anxiety and depression to develop on top of ADHD.
ADHD is like having your foot on the gas and not being able to hit the brakes. It can be hard figuring out how to live up to your full potential when daily requirements create a profound sense of boredom or your mind just can’t slow down. Not meeting your goals causes turmoil and regret.
Here, you'll find a supportive space to not just manage symptoms but to truly understand your brain and harness its unique strengths. Therapy for ADHD addresses the daily experiences and what is beneath the surface.
My Approach to Adult ADHD
My approach to ADHD requires an integrative, team-based approach. If you are taking medication to help with symptoms, I'll work with your prescribing provider to ensure your care plan is integrated and effective. We'll use assessments to identify the areas you'd like to work on and use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) interventions to help you improve communication, social skills, and impulse control. Together, we will build systems that make life easier and more predictable.
Moving Forward
After our work together, you'll feel more confident because you'll have a toolkit and a clear understanding of how and when to access support and tools when you need them. You'll be able to engage with others from an empathetic perspective and feel more organized and emotionally grounded when approaching tasks. You will no longer feel like you are failing but rather understand how to be successful in the way that makes sense for you.
